What a difference an irrigation system makes to the enjoyment of gardening 😍😍😍
.
Here in our temperate climate, we are growing:
.
1) BROCCOLI - growing well into the colder months
.
2) LEEKS - not quite the right time to plant baby seedlings in near freezing conditions but let’s see what happens
.
3) GARLIC - a long growing season ahead focusing on foliage growth over winter
.
4) CELERY - grows quickly and superbly if planting seedlings from early to mid autumn
.
5) SHALLOTS - planted late Autumn. Best time for optimal growth is to sow or plant seedlings from mid-autumn to late winter and even early spring here in Melbourne
.
6) BABY CARROTS - we plant carrots all year round here
.
7) EGGPLANTS & PEPPERS - will remain there
.
8) ONIONS - the right time of the year to be planted. Like Bok Choy, the colder the better for optimal onion growth
.
9) RADISHES - they grow all year round here
.
10) BOK CHOY - superb winter vegetable
.
11) BEETROOT - they grow all year round here
.
12) CHILLIES - doing very well in the cold
.
13) SPRING ONIONS - they grow all year round here and are quite adaptable but for best results plant from spring to early autumn. We sowed our seeds in March/April
.
14) LETTUCE - winter variety that grows quickly during colder weather and bolts in warmer weather

LEMON TREE jungle

We love a tree that can produce all year round and does not rely on spring blossoms alone 😍

This particular lemon tree produces two main flushes of growth namely early spring and autumn with smaller blooms throughout the rest of the year
