2017/2018 is all about the development of the main trunk and the eventual growth of the horizontal leader branches that will (over time) house the fruit spurs on the one-year old canes where the fruit will predominantly come from

Although we don't have the space to setup the correct support structure and arbor to grow the plants in, we'll engineer a solution for them but they are best grown in pergola like structures

A tough call, but we made it. All our PEPPER plants were stripped

We decided that although the plants could continue on quite successfully, the crop produced moving forward would not be as big as first year plants. The plants would still continue to produce well but with a noticeable difference in size
.
PEPPERS grown in Melbourne is not in their natural climatic environment so we are happy to start afresh again in the warmer months but with a couple of new pepper varieties to be introduced into our garden
