This is what happens when you plant EGGPLANTS in a cornered shady location that receives not much more than 3 hours of direct sunlight a day:

photosynthesis is poor. Inadequate sunlight = poor and slow growth
.
Poor and slow growth = weak plant
.
Weak plant = vulnerable to disease, pests and poor leaf growth
.
poor leaf growth = reduced chlorophyll
.
Reduced chlorophyll = lack of fuel (protein & sugars)
.
Lack of fuel = slow stunted growth
.
Slow stunted growth = delayed flowering
.
And when an eggplant finally grows it’s almost as tall as the plant!

It’s interesting growing EGGPLANT in the shade but you can make it work. Although our plants are barely between 15 cm and 30 cm tall, there are buds forming so we need to be patient. This time last year the same EGGPLANTS were growing in full sun and we were getting huge harvests. What a difference 😍
